If you are reading this, Matt, Allison and I got up early, piled into a car, drove to Santa Monica and packed into a crowded beach-side hotel, where the annual American Film Market (AFM) is taking place. What is the AFM you ask? Basically it's the world's largest trade show specifically geared to feature films. And they aren't kidding: it's estimated that over 800 MILLION dollars in business will be done over the entire AFM. Now it's our job to figure out how to get juuust a little slice of that for Love in the Time of Monsters. HA!
People from all over the world come to the AFM: Buyers, Sellers, Foreign and Domestic Distributors of all kinds. Allison has been busy compiling a list of the companies that seem like a good fit for LiToM, you know, the ones that have a big sign saying "Looking for movies about toxic bigfoot monsters attacking an All-American themed family fun lodge (of course). We have developed a plan of attack, and we will see what happens in the next four days. Like everything else with LiToM, it's been an amazing and wild ride getting here, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
A shout out to all the people who helped us build our promotional materials (Ben, Justin, Katrina, et al). I am in constant amazement with how well everything came together under a pretty tight schedule. And I didn't even have to yell at anybody! (I kid, I kid!) Seriously, we couldn't have gotten this far without the hard work and sweat of a lot of great people.
Keep checking out the blog for AFM updates throughout the week (or subscribe on the right side over there ----->).
