Our First Review!

Because of our World Premiere coming up March 8th at Cinequest, we've started to get some people talking about the film on the 'nets.  We were lucky enough to get reviewed by a great Bay Area outlet called Fanboy Planet! They specialize in awesome movies, comics and pop-culture. They're right up our alley!

The review is contained within a podcast previewing several films from this year's festival.  I'll tell you, it was a pretty nerve-wracking experience listening in, not knowing what they were going to say, or even if they were going to say anything at all.  To tell you the truth, Love In The Time Of Monsters is like my child, and I'm just now sending it out into the world for the first time.  I'm just hoping the other kids don't make fun of it, know what I mean?

Luckily, they seemed to really like the film, and spent quite a bit of time talking about it.  Most importantly, they really got what we were going for, which is just great.  Somehow in 5 minutes, they encapsulated a lot of great moments that we hoped would show through on screen. Also loved the fact that every time the movie comes up, everybody just starts laughing with each other and saying stuff like "squirrels", which is awesome!

If you want to hear the podcast, I'm posting a link below.

-The main portion of the review starts at approx the 14:30 mark and runs for about 5 minutes.

-There's a quick mention at 5:30-6:20 (Derek compares us to Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama. What a reference!)

-Finally, there's a funny moment at 40:30 where Uncle Slavko himself follows them on Twitter as the show is being recorded. What timing!

Some highlights from the review:

"It was just really well done! Really impressive."

"Every character had something that made that character stand out."

"Once you think it's gonna stop, it doesn't. It literally doesn't stop until the credits roll."

How cool! Thanks to Derek and everybody at Cinequest for making our first podcast review as cool and painless as possible. We couldn't be happier.

In other news, did you guys see the new sidebar design on the blog?  We got links to our Facebook, twitter and youtube accounts, and even a countdown clock to our premiere in Cinequest.  Let us know what you think!
