Spring Review Roundup

Oh, you thought it was THAT kind of roundup?

Oh, you thought it was THAT kind of roundup?

One of the most exciting things about having Love In The Time Of Monsters out in the world is all the people who actually get to see it now (go figure!)  It's been especially great seeing all the reviews/podcasts/lists we've appeared on over the past few months.   Here are some of the highlights (warning, some of the full reviews contain spoilers!):

Dread Central, Top Ten Bigfoot Movies Of The 21st Century - "In addition to being f***ing hysterical, Love in the Time of Monsters is smart and endearing with characters who actually become less two-dimentional as the film progresses. Best of all, you don’t have to be a fan of Bigfoot movies to dig this sleeper—or is it a future cult classic?"

Legless Corpse - "This film is for anyone that likes horror-comedies, good cheesy practical effects, or some good ol’ fashioned slapstick comedy."

Ringmaster's Realm - "In the end, this is one of the best horror comedies I have seen, and a movie that must be seen."

Horror-Movies.ca"an absolute blast, it’s filled with enough gore and horror to satisfy us gore-hungry beasts and there is enough laughs for those of us who like our horror a little bit more chilled and Love in the Time of Monsters manages to balance both of them brilliantly."

Bloody Whisper - "Overall there is a very strong cast of quirky characters, which impressed me considering that this is a cheesy B-movie. More importantly, the women are not damsels in distress (DIDs), they are strong and proactive in each scene they appear in. In a genre where beautiful women make up a good portion of the main cast, there are very few instances of scenes made purely for eye candy."

Hickey's House Of Horrors - "What I didn't see coming was just how good it would be. It's got heart, laughs, scares, a fantastic cast, wonderful writing, romance, assured and competent direction AND a *redacted*. Now, I'm not saying this has something for everyone... hang on, that's exactly what I'm saying. Love in the Time of Monstersis a brilliant fun flick and I recommend it wholeheartedly. This is not one to miss!"

Stabford Deathrage - "Love In The Time Of Monsters' compelling characters, snappy dialogue, and good effects keep things interesting when it could have resorted to the laziness of Zombeavers...I liked Love In The Time Of Monsters, and it's worth hunting down.

Big Funny Blog - "Seriously, there’s a 30 minute stretch of awesomeness in this thing that makes “Zombeavers” seem like “Leave it to Beaver.”"

Raz's Midnight Macabre - "The films humour is placed well throughout and I honestly found myself laughing really loudly, a rarity for me. It doesn't pretend to be anything else and stands proud to be a b-movie, even the cast seemed like they had a great time which I feel makes for better viewing. "

Dave's Important Things - "I don't have a rating system, but if I did, I'd put Love in the Time of Monsters somewhere in between a soothing dip in a hot tub and an extended version of that nice little buzz you get in your head when you sneezeYou know what I'm talking about." (Honestly I put this in here so I could show you the awesome clip art of Big Kahuna and Brandi dancing that Dave created):
